Most Recent Developments

Some of our Most Recent Developments are as follows:-

• May 2012: A team of 8 members from Gas Authority of India Ltd, Engineers India Limited and SAGE went to Singapore to inspect the Castorone, the Saipem barge that can lay this pipeline in less than 2 years
• Letter of Intent signed with Fugro to carry out a Geophysical Survey of the Arabian Sea
• In May 2013, the Geophysical Survey commenced in the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea with the vessel FUGRO GAUSS (Germany), and it is likely to be completed by Mid June 2013. This Survey will assist SAGE in having a better idea of the Pipeline Route, and move towards FEED and EPC Bidding Process Preparations for the year 2014.
• The SAGE team along with EIL and SBI Caps recently visited Holland to see the deepwater pipelay barge called ‘Pioneering Spirit’ built by Allseas that can lay pipelines upto depths of 4000 metres
• Within the next 18 months, SAGE plans to complete a detailed ocean survey and FEED studies so as to proceed towards tendering for the EPC contract to lay the pipeline
• SAGE is also in the process of forming a Global Advisory Board for this path-breaking project
